AUSTIN, Texas, December 6, 2022 – Anaconda Inc., provider of the world’s most popular data science platform, today announced the internal promotion of Jessica Reeves to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Her new role will focus on strategically growing the company’s globally dispersed workforce, spearheading new initiatives, and scaling operational efficiencies. Reeves joined Anaconda in 2017 as Vice President, Global HR and became the SVP, Operations in 2020.
Over her six-year tenure with the company, Reeves has supported HR, recruiting, legal, sales, and customer-facing functions, establishing strategic frameworks that unite a fast-growing company and culture. As Anaconda has fully transitioned to a remote workforce, Reeves will define employee onboarding and engagement to ensure employees are connected, supported, and aligned with Anaconda’s mission. Reeves will also spearhead new strategic initiatives to expand Anaconda’s user base and facilitate life-long data skills development.
At a time of layoffs within the tech sector, Anaconda anticipates another year of record growth and hiring amid strong demand for data science tools and Reeves will play a key role in the company’s hiring plans. Part of this will entail setting, tracking, and measuring talent-related goals to ensure Anaconda remains competitive and poised for long-term growth. Over the last year, Anaconda has nearly doubled its employee count to more than 300. The company plans to continue hiring throughout the year, focusing on expanding engineering and sales teams in the US and globally.

Prior to joining Anaconda, Reeves led the HR function for ClearDATA, a Healthcare cloud computing company, where she built the HR framework from the ground up while leading recruiting efforts in opening their Austin HQ office. Previously, Reeves was the HR Director for JMJ Associates, a global oil and gas company specializing in professional safety services. She led a team responsible for core HR functions in EMEA, APAC, Europe, and the Americas. In her earlier career, she worked in various HR roles for small and Fortune 50 companies.
